1. Overview
MatterLens AI (“we”, “us”) is an AI-powered assistant for lawyers and business professionals. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Data We Collect
- Account data: your name and email, used to identify you and manage your account.
- Content you submit: documents you upload for analysis, messages you send to the AI advisor, and insights you save.
- Usage data: interaction counts and preferences such as your legal specialty, used to personalize responses.
- Device data: standard device and platform information collected automatically.
3. How We Use Data
We use your data to provide the analysis, drafting, and strategy features, to improve response quality, to secure the platform, and to communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Your content is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your documents, saved insights, and messages at any time from within the app. You can also permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Profile screen, which signs you out immediately.
5. AI Processing
Prompts and documents are sent to AI providers to generate responses. We take reasonable steps to use providers that process data securely. Avoid submitting information that is subject to special confidentiality obligations unless you have the right to share it.
6. Your Rights
You may access, correct, or delete your personal data. Because MatterLens AI is a tool to support—not replace—professional judgment, you remain responsible for reviewing any output before relying on it.
